Come And Join Us

Posted by Clovis Art Guild California on Monday, July 1, 2013 Under: President's message

Well, summer is upon us. We have some really excellent programs coming up this summer so I hope all of you will brave the heat and join us. This month Valerie Runningwolf will be explaining and demonstrating encaustic techniques. This is an opportunity for all of us to learn a little something about a different type of painting. It should be interesting and informative.

We have been fortunate that the Veteran’s building is allowing us to use the Veteran’s room for our meetings this year. Although we don’t always get the entire room, we do now have access to a kitchen, which I know is a plus for everyone.

In August, Karleen Kostiw has been scheduled to demonstrate in Watercolor and Denise McGill will be showing us Pastel in September.

I am looking forward to our fall show in November. Due to a lack of support and participation, we have dropped the Military themed category, but we do still encourage entering artists to submit patriotic or military themes in their art in order to honor our veterans. I hope you will all consider entering and making it a wonderful show.

I look forward to seeing you at the meeting on the 10th and I hope those of you who are hesitant to drive at night will come for the program since daylight savings means it doesn’t start to get dark until the meeting is practically over. Don’t forget your pick of the month!
